Resveratrol, a natural plant compound falling under the category of polyphenols, can be found in various fruits like grapes and berries. It is particularly abundant in the skin of red grapes and red wine. Resveratrol is synthesized by plants as a response to stress and injury, serving as a protective mechanism for the plant, and this protective effect is thought to be transferable to humans when consumed. However, the quantity of resveratrol in red wine is relatively modest. 

Achieving the anti-aging and longevity benefits associated with resveratrol would require consuming such large quantities of wine that the adverse health effects linked to excessive alcohol intake would largely negate any potential advantages from resveratrol. Therefore, supplementing with isolated resveratrol provides a convenient and healthy means to harness its properties for reversing aging and promoting longevity.

Recommended dosage:
