What is relatively solid
Fisetin has been administered to people in supervised research settings. Small clinical studies have explored inflammatory markers, selected disease-context endpoints and early safety or pharmacokinetic questions.[4][7] Oral exposure is real; the compound is not purely theoretical. Pharmacokinetic work helps explain why formulation and meal context matter for a poorly water-soluble flavonol.[7]
What is still limited
There is no validated consumer biomarker that proves a supplement has “cleared” senescent cells.[9][3] Large, long, general-population trials proving lifespan extension or disease prevention with over-the-counter fisetin do not exist. One randomized study in people with colorectal cancer used fisetin alongside chemotherapy and reported changes in inflammatory markers over about seven weeks — a narrow, monitored oncology-adjacent context rather than a consumer longevity claim.[4] Other early clinical and translational work continues to probe pharmacokinetics, tolerability and aging-related endpoints, but study sizes and designs still leave dosing and outcome certainty incomplete.[3][7]
By comparison, oral NMN has a clearer human NAD-related metabolite story, and resveratrol has a longer run of metabolic, vascular and cognitive trial literature — heterogeneous, but deeper.
